Early this month, 180 units of Yutong city buses, which are chiefly of three models, namely ZK6100HU, ZK6108HGC, and ZK6118HGH, were officially put into operation on the major bus routes in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. 

As the two most popular city bus models, ZK6108HGC and ZK6118HGH boast a better vehicle durability and aesthetic quality due to the cathodic electrophoretic process which is used to give the body an anti-corrosion treatment. According to the test data which Yutong submitted, their buses which underwent the electrophoresis process, resisted a salt spray test cycle of more than 1,000 hours, which is understood to be the equivalent to 8-10 years in service under the climatic conditions as found in the Chinese coastal area.

One of the noticeable features of the new batch of city buses is their enhanced safety standards. Equipped with four removable windows and five emergency valves at the bus door, these city buses fully take account of passenger’s safety and present them with convenient means to deal with some emergencies.
 
The manufacturing of city buses has become an important pillar within Yutong Bus. In 2008, the overall sales of Yutong‘s city buses was more than 5,500 units.
