The 8th China Auto International (South Africa) Tour Exhibition kicked off in Cape Town of South Africa on November 30, 2010. About 100 persons from different sectors attended the event. Hao Guangfeng, Consul General of China in Cape Town, was also present. With fluttering flags on site, the atmosphere was very enthusiastic and jubilant.

Ms Ruth Bangu, Chairman of Transportation Committee of South African National Congress, Yang Xiaodong, director of CCPIT Media and Press Center, and Hao delivered congratulation speeches to the event respectively. Chinese automotive exhibitors like Yutong Bus, Dongfeng Group, Hafei Motor, Foton, CNHTC, GONOW, MEIYA, etc. launched their promotion during the event.

Hao briefly introduced the results achieved by Xi Jingping, Vice President of China, while visiting South Africa in November, 2010. He also encouraged Chinese exhibitors to seize the historical opportunity during the rapid development of comprehensive strategic partnership between South Africa and China, striving for win-win achievement and mutual benefits based on the principal of equality. “The prospect of Chinese automotive industry in South Africa is very bright, and Consulate General of China in Cape Town will provide strong supports and assistance to related enterprises in developing the market in South Africa,” Hao said.

Yang briefly introduced the situation of the tour exhibition delegation in South Africa. He believed, with the help and support of Consulate General of China in Cape Town, the tour exhibition in South Africa would have a successful conclusion, thus enhancing the bilateral exchanges and cooperation in terms of automotive field.

The participating certificates were awarded by the extinguished guests like Hao, Bangu, etc. Accompanied by Yang and the exhibitors, Hao took a close look at the exhibiting vehicles with great interest, and asked the performance of vehicles and the sales situation in South Africa.
