Wu Tianjun, Standing Committee Member of CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, led the leaders of Municipal Industry and Information Commission and Bureau of Science and Technology to inspect the development status of Yutong new energy buses in the Yutong Industrial Park on August 6, 2013. The municipal leaders Wang Yuehua and Ma Jian visited Yutong together with Wu.

Accompanied by Tang Yuxiang, president of Yutong Group, Zhuang and his entourage took the Yutong electric city bus and experienced the low-noise and zero-emission characteristics of the vehicle. At the Yutong experiment center, Wu carefully listened to the report on Yutong new energy work and learned about the development strategy of Yutong new energy buses. When knowing that the battery replacement time is only eight minutes and the labor intensity of drivers is reduced through the continuously variable transmission, Wu nodded from time to time for recognition.

During the inspection, Wu pointed out that Yutong should seize the opportunity of the new energy vehicle development supported by the state and speed up the working-out of electric vehicle planning to establish an integrated development mechanism consisting of bus builder, battery maker, battery maintenance operator and consumers under the innovative business development mode led by the municipal government, thus enhancing the healthy and rapid development of the electric vehicle industry in Zhengzhou.

Subsequently, Wu came to the show bus area of the plant and boarded the business purpose bus ZK6708D1. In addition, Wu also looked around a number of new energy buses, airport buses, special school buses and so on independently developed by Yutong in recent years.
