Yutong donates 1 million yuan to quake-hit Yushu
The 7.1-magnitude earthquake, which struck the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu on Wednesday April 14, had left 1,484 killed, 12,088 injured, 1,394 severely, with another 312 still missing.
After the earthquake, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. immediately established a quake relief team, activated contingency plans and donated 1 million yuan to the quake-hit region. The Qinghai Branch of Yutong set up a rescue team in the same day when quake occurred and entered into affected areas. Three tour buses of Yutong in Qinghai have been put into use for quake relief. Meanwhile, Yutong has allocated spare parts worth of more than 200,000 yuan and sent them to suffered areas, thus ensuring the normal operation of local Yutong buses for the purpose of quake relief.
As the saying goes “When one place is hit by disaster, help streams in from all over the country”, the Yushu earthquake touches the hearts of people across the country, it also touches the hearts of every Yutong staff. The company will collect manpower and material resources and make every effort to aid the people in disaster areas. We firmly believe the disaster will pass away and we will achieve a full victory in quake relief.
