China's largest export order to Chile in Q1 -Yutong Bus has completed the historic delivery of 214 new energy buses to Chile, adding impetus to Chile's public mobility
At the beginning of the New Year, a huge vessel carrying 214 Yutong battery electric buses traveled halfway around the world to Chile. Chile, known as "the country at the end of the world", is the furthest country from China on earth. These Yutong new energy buses once again connect the countries on both sides of the earth, and promote the transformation of public mobility in Chile to electric vehicles.
The order of 214 Yutong battery electric buses is China's largest bus order to Chile in Q1 of 2024, and also a new energy bus order with the largest single delivery volume of Yutong in Chile market. These buses will be put into operation in Santiago at the end of February, to relieve the long-distance commuting pressure between the capital's main urban area and surrounding towns, and promote Chile to embrace a green future.
The cross-regional, long-distance and high-frequency operation requirements undoubtedly put forward higher requirements for the overall performance and comprehensive strength of new energy buses. The battery electric buses delivered to Chile this time are based on the YEA platform independently developed by Yutong. These vehicles have unique advantages in high-end quality and comprehensive performance. Energy consumption control, driving range and reliability are all at the international leading level. At the same time, in order to better meet customer's requirements and create maximum operational value, Yutong has also customized the development and application of innovative technologies for vehicles, in combination with local working conditions, operating environment and usage habits.
As early as 2005, Yutong became the first new energy bus brand to enter Chile market by virtue of its strength. In 2018, with a keen insight into market demand, 100 Yutong pure electric buses were batch exported to Chile, kicking off the electrification transformation of public transport in that country. After 19 years of development, up to now, Yutong's new energy products have covered multiple scenarios such as buses, coaches and mining trucks in Chile, and the comprehensive performance of vehicles has also been fully verified by the market.
Over the years, Yutong has been working together with local partners to promote the construction of overall transportation system and green development in Chile with high-quality new energy products and scenario-based operation capability. In the future, Yutong will continue to actively seek new cooperation opportunities and help Chile's low-carbon development reach a new level with China's extraordinary strength in high-end manufacturing.
