On August 14, 2024, the 6th China-ASEAN Cooperation Dialogue on Automobile Regulations & Standards was held in Bangkok. As a representative of the bus industry, Yutong was invited and delivered a keynote speech on how China's bus standards have facilitated the development of the ebus industry globally.
The conference is the top meeting on automobile standards and regulations in Southeast Asia. It was jointly organized by China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) Standardization Research Institute, Thailand Industrial Standardization Institute and Land Transport Department of Ministry of Transport. About 130 leaders and experts from relevant government departments, institutions and enterprises of China and ASEAN countries attended the meeting.

He introduced in detail the development history of China's bus standards and the current construction of China's bus standards system. He also took the opportunity to promote China's electric buses and standards to ASEAN countries based on the technical advantages and global development achievements of Yutong ebuses.
Yutong is both a witness and a facilitator of the development of China's bus standards. As one of the first bus manufacturers in China, Yutong represents the development of China's bus industry and has been actively participating in the preparation and revision of China's bus standards. Up to now, Yutong has participated in formulating 275 national, industrial, local and association standards. The national standard on Safety Requirements for Electric Buses led by Yutong has promoted the improvement of China's bus industry standards. It gained recognition of experts from various countries at the conference.
For ebus technology, Yutong has launched a battery with 15-year 1.5 million km warranty, which is nearly twice as long as that of conventional products. For high temperature and high humidity areas, Yutong vehicles are equipped with advanced technologies such as battery liquid cooling, nitrogen protection and motor anti-condensation to ensure safer and more reliable operation. In practice, Yutong new energy buses can flexibly adapt to various climates. For example, during the Paris sports event, 140 Yutong buses provided comfortable and convenient travel services for global audiences; during the 2022 international football gala, 888 Yutong pure electric buses were running in Qatar.
Yutong is both a contributor and beneficiary of China's standards. Focusing on "energy saving, reliability, lightweight and prolonged lifespan", Yutong Bus continues to expand its leading advantage in new energy technology and promote the competitiveness of China's ebuses in the world. At present, Yutong has sold more than 180,000 electric buses in the world. In addition to China, its products are exported to major countries and regions, including Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Latin America, etc. The sales volume of electric buses ranks among the top in the world.
According to statistics, China has exported 37,000 large and medium-sized buses in the ASEAN region, including 3,571 new energy buses. In conclusion, Yutong contributes to the future development of bus industry in ASEAN countries and looks forward to in-depth exchanges on ebus development and standards construction.
