Brisbane, Australia,17th September 2024 – Yutong, a global leading manufacturer of buses and coaches, today announced the introduction of its most advanced electric technology, YEA to the APAC market at the National Bus & Coach Show and company’s YEA Green Exploration Journey event. This event, centred on the theme, “Think Eco, Move Green”, which highlights Yutong’s commitment to green travel across the globe.

More than 150 guests from various countries and regions, including Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand, attended the Yutong Brand Night to explore sustainable transportation solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. Guests expressed great interest and recognition of Yutong's latest YEA technology and new products such as the E7S.

YEA, short for Yutong Electric Architecture, is the first electric vehicle (EV)-specific platform in the commercial vehicle (CV) industry that seamlessly integrates software and hardware to meet most-scenario needs of buses. At the core of this technology are the C architecture and YOS, both independently developed by Yutong.

YEA delivers greater value to customers:

· More Economical: Offers a range that is over 10% longer than competitors and a 20% reduction in operating costs, making it an efficient and cost-effective solution

· More Durable: Ensures stable, safe, and reliable operation with uptime reaching up to 99%, and a battery lifespan of up to 1.5 million kilometres, significantly enhancing the longevity of the vehicle

· More Convenient: Provides intelligent operation, empowering management with 24/7 reliability and peace of mind

At the launch of Yutong’s YEA Green Exploration Journey in Brisbane, Kent Chang, Yutong Asia-Pacific CEO and Vice President of the UITP Asia-Pacific Executive Committee (APC) commented on Yutong’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region:

Yutong also presented the E7S bus at the 2024 National Bus & Coach Show and during the company's YEA Green Exploration Journey event. The micro-circulation battery electric bus E7S is specifically designed for urban feeder routes, providing an innovative solution for metropolitan operators.

The Yutong E7S embodies the concept of "small is big," combining compact exterior dimensions with a spacious, efficient interior. Its exceptional maneuverability makes it ideal for navigating narrow city streets and congested areas, while still comfortably accommodating up to 35 passengers. With over 20m² of light-transmitting window area, the E7S offers a bright, open atmosphere. Boasting a 300 km range under SORT2 operation conditions, it also features a SIC seven-in-one controller that reduces energy consumption by 5%.

Furthermore, Yutong is actively collaborating with local industrial partners. In Australia, Yutong and local partner VDI jointly achieve the DKD manufacture, which successfully realised the global super star model E12 to be assembled in Australia. Yutong also developed in partnership with the renowned Australian body builder, the new modular electric chassis with the Volgren Optimus bus body combination was also presented at the National Bus & Coach show.

To date, Yutong has delivered over 190,000 new energy commercial vehicles, leading global sales in this category. These buses have collectively travelled 44 billion kilometres, reducing fuel consumption by 9.2 billion litres and cutting carbon emissions by approximately 27.24 million tons—the equivalent of planting 140,000 hectares of forest, nearly 2000 times of the Brisbane CBD size.  In a special announcement at Tuesday’s event, Yutong announced its Global Carbon Free Forest initiative. This effort is intended to ensure long-term scalability and support global environmental protection efforts.
