World Events. Yutong’s Moments. Yutong Supports the African International Football Tournament with 723 Buses in Morocco
The 35th African International Football Tournament is set to kick off on December 21, 2025, in Morocco. As the largest Chinese bus provider for the tournament, Yutong will deploy 723 premium customized buses to serve the event’s core public transport needs.
On September 12, Yutong held a grand ceremony at its electric bus production base for the first batch of 723 buses destined for Morocco. The event was attended by representatives from the Moroccan clients, Yutong executives and multiple media outlets.
Mr. Ennaciri Abdelali, General Manager of TRACTAFRIC MOTORS CORPORATION stated in his address: "Yutong buses are not merely vehicles; they represent international standards, safeguard safety, and symbolize reliability. We are committed to advancing hand in hand with Yutong to build trust, create opportunities, and jointly shape the future!"
Di Bei, CPO of Yutong Bus, emphasized: “This delivery is not only about delivering vehicles. It’s a key milestone in Yutong’s global strategy and our deepening partnership with the Moroccan market.”
The custom-made buses, adorned with vibrant tournament-themed graphics, were unveiled and driven out of the assembly line amid applause, marking the official launch of the first batch of 723 units and Yutong’s commitment to providing reliable transportation services for the African International Football Tournament.
Customized for Morocco
Morocco’s diverse climate and terrain, from the Mediterranean coast to the Sahara Desert, coupled with high-intensity operations across multiple host cities, posed unique challenges. Yutong’s R&D team conducted multiple on-site studies and introduced specialized upgrades: a vehicle lifespan designed for 20 years or 2 million kilometers, ensuring durability in high-temperature, high-humidity, and sandy conditions; and self-developed independent suspension front axles for a smaller turning radius, ideal for narrow streets in historic urban areas.
End-to-End Support, Beyond the Vehicles
Yutong has deployed a comprehensive service plan for this African International Football Tournament, including a dedicated team of over 100 professionals providing round-the-clock support for operations, training, parts supply, and technical assistance. Guided by its “EnRoute+” service model, Yutong will have teams available 24/7 during the tournament. With an established network of 94 service stations across nearly 50 African countries, Yutong is fully equipped to ensure seamless operations.
Yutong has proven its expertise globally from supporting international events like the G20 and APEC, to providing 1,500 buses for the 2022 Qatar Football Tournament and transport for the 2024 Paris Sports Games. With over 23,000 buses delivered in Africa over the past 20 years, Yutong remains the leading bus exporter from China. By supporting this African International Football Tournament, Yutong once again embodies its purpose of “World Events. Yutong’s Moments”, strengthening China-Africa friendship and supporting the development of global sports events.
