- II. Function introduction
-
EU 2021/1958 (Intelligent Speed Assistance System) stipulates that new vehicles produced after July 7, 2024 shall have ISA speed limit assistance function, aiming to remind drivers to comply with speed limits and reduce accidents. This function can provide accurate speed limit information through the combination of camera system, global navigation system and digital map.
The map data may change due to changes in roads, geographical features, urban development, user feedback errors or missing map information. To keep the map data up-to-date and accurate and ensure that users can get the best experience, it is recommended to update the map regularly.
- III. Download and installation method
-
Preparation for upgrading:
1. USB flash disk (3.0+32G and higher are recommended)
2. Map package preparation: obtain the map upgrade package through Yutong official link.
-
1.Perform FAT32 formatting operation on the USB flash disk in advance. Be careful not to tick fast formatting. 2.Create an autoupgrade folder in the root directory of the USB flash disk. 3.Decompress the map data into the above folder. The final file form is that there is a folder starting with M00 under the autoupgrade folder, which contains STM files, as shown in the following figure. 4.Ensure that the device is powered on. Insert a USB flash drive into the ESSA device (please open the protective cover with a screwdriver first), and it will automatically upgrade. It takes a long time to upgrade map package. Please wait patiently. 5.Check the upgrade result and compare the map version number. If the map version number is consistent with the file name of the current map package, it means that the upgrade is successful.
- IV. Precautions
-
1. Please do not plug or unplug the USB flash disk or power off during the upgrade, which may lead to upgrade interruption.
2. If the USB flash disk is not formatted in advance, it may be impossible to upgrade.
3. EU countries have a large amount of map data, so please wait patiently for the upgrade. (For example, it takes about 15 minutes to upgrade a single map of Spain, and probably 4 hours to import the whole package of maps)
- V. Disclaimer
-
1. The information provided by the map may change due to various factors, including but not limited to road traffic conditions, POI (Point of Interest) information and topography. The accuracy of the map data cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
2. Map data will be updated regularly to reflect changes in roads, geographical features and other relevant information. Users should regularly check map updates for the latest information. We are not liable for any loss or damage that may result from not updating the map data in a timely manner.
3. The map only provides speed limit reminding service, and does not provide navigation suggestions.
4. The map database will be updated once every six months, and users can access it on demand. The free period of the map service is 7 years from the date of vehicle manufacturing, and the service countries are limited to EU countries.
5. Any indication and warning of ISA system shall not affect the actual speed limit applicable in specific situations, and compliance with speed limits is still the ultimate responsibility of drivers.
