Recently, Paul Aldridge, the media from Australia’s leading industry media Australasian Bus and Coach conducted an in-depth test and experience of the E7S at Oran Park, covering its driving and riding comfort, vehicle configuration and operational adaptability.

Tailored to Australia’s dense communities and narrow streets, the E7S impresses with its compact body and agile handling, delivering an exceptional driving experience. Paul Aldridge noted, ”The E7S cab is designed as a relatively independent yet comfortable space. While seated inside, the driver doesn’t feel isolated from the outside; instead, it blends naturally with the front area of the vehicle, creating a more open and intuitive driving experience.”

Building on this design, the E7S further enhances convenience and safety through a range of intelligent features. The in-vehicle high-definition display delivers clear visuals and intuitive information, enabling drivers to easily access vehicle status and surrounding road conditions. In terms of safety, the E7S provides reliable support for complex urban traffic environments. The vehicle is equipped with an electronic safety system and advanced electronic architecture, along with features such as a 360° panoramic image, tire pressure monitoring system, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

In terms of riding experience, the E7S features a well-thought-out layout. It is equipped with a USB charging port for each passenger, creating a comfortable and convenient riding environment.

In addition, the E7S complies with the accessibility requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The bus features a dedicated wheelchair  area and a foldable wheelchair ramp. When deployed, the ramp creates a passageway approximately 800 mm wide, allowing convenient wheelchair access. Interior handrails are designed in accordance with DDA standards, and the passenger area adopts a nearlyfully flat-floor layout with minimal steps, offering a more user-friendly interior environment.

Since entering the Australian market in 2012,Yutong has delivered more than 2,200 medium and large buses locally, covering tourism, public transit, school transportation and other segments. The launch of the E7S has provided a brand-new solution for urban micro-transit and last-mile travel. The model strikes a balance between the compact body, flexible turning radius and highly efficient electric drive system, while featuring fast charging capability and a low full life cycle operating cost, creating a more efficient choice for urban transport operators.

In addition, Yutong organized a “Let's Go Green” campaign, inviting the Australian public to participate in interactive activities such as charity check-ins, actively promoting the concept of green mobility.
