Yutong E6 full electric buses sold 3,000 units in two months after being launched
On June 28, 310 units of Yutong E6 full electric buses arrived in Shangqiu, Henan province to replace the city’s old bus fleet, providing much greener and more convenient urban public transport services for local citizens.
After appearing in China’s bus market for only two months, over 3,000 units of Yutong E6 have been sold, according to the bus maker’s statistics. As a fast-recharging full electric bus, E6 has quickly proved its strengths and popularity among the public.
As an important member of Yutong E series full electric buses, E6 is measuring six meters in lengths. Equipped with ReCtrl technology, E6 has reached high level of integration and modularization. Thus, the number of its spare parts is only 43% of the same type of buses in the past. Boasting high reliability, E6 successfully helps its operators cut repair and maintenance fees. According to some estimate, E6 is able to reduce the operating costs by 60%.
As a representative full electric bus measuring 6.4 meters in length, E6 is 2 meters wide and 2.9 meters high. It enjoys high agility on busy urban roads. It has 12 seats and is capable of loading 36 passengers. With a convenient two-step access, the bus has an enviable standing area for passengers.
Under normal road conditions, Yutong E6 is capable of running about 140 kilometers. With strong power, it can easily climb a hill with a slope angle of 25%. It consumes 0.3-0.4 kilowatt-hour power per kilometer. Using 380V direct-current post for recharging, the bus can be recharged with 60 kilowatt-hours’ power in just sixty minutes. In the meantime, the bus is able to run 60 kilometers after being recharged for ten minutes under the fast-recharging mode.
