The year of 2011 is a meaningful year for China’s bus industry. The position of China’s bus industry in the commercial vehicle sector has never stood out like this in 2011. In the first eleven months, the performance of the whole commercial vehicle sector was falling, only the sales volume of large and medium-sized buses kept a ten percent increase, among which Yutong held a safe lead of 15.95 percent year-on-year growth rate, leading the rapid development of China’s bus industry.

The new energy vehicle industry continued its emerging in 2011. In 25 pilot cities and other non-pilot cities, the hybrid and electric buses are going on trial increasingly. From purchase of professional school buses to energy-efficiency and emission reduction of transportation sector, from the export of Chinese buses to the technical progress of the commercial vehicle sector, from the promotion of clean energy buses to the application of telematics, Yutong is always the vanguard of the industry.
 

On July 20, the construction of Yutong new energy base kicked off. It will bring additional 10,000-unit annual production capacity of fuel-efficient and new energy buses to Yutong, among which 6,000 units are fuel-efficient buses and 4,000 units new energy buses. Invested 2.4 billion yuan, the new energy base will lay a solid foundation for the development of new energy buses and enhance the technical upgrade and progress of the whole business chain of new energy buses.

After that, the Yutong TSM intelligent operational system was launched, further improving the competitiveness of Yutong’s products and service. This telematics system is co-worked by Nokia Siemens Networks, China Mobile and Yutong, an alliance among strong ones, greatly promoting the upgrade of Chinese road transportation industry from traditional management to scientific management.

In the international market, Yutong is also emerging. On October 20, Yutong was granted Busbuilder of the Year Worldwide 2012 issued by BAAV, through which Yutong’s position as a world-level bus maker was acknowledged. It is learned that Yutong buses have been exported to over 70 countries and regions, covering the major areas worldwide.

In 2011,Yutong has delivered over 46,000 units of buses and coaches, leading the growth of the industry. Not only in 2011, but also in the past years, Yutong always kept an energetic renovation capability in its rapid development in terms of new technology, new products and new service.
