Yutong Provides Greece with a Overall New Energy Transition Solution, Pioneering a Green Transportation Future
Greece, as an important tourist destination on the blue coast, has a large number of travelers, long and hot summers, and narrow city streets. The problems of traditional buses such as: high energy consumption, heavy pollution, and high operating costs, are becoming more and more prominent.
In response to market demand, Yutong has provided a set of pure electric fleet operation solutions for Greece. From product layout to charging facility management, intelligent operation, and after-sales maintenance and training, Yutong helps customers create a win-win model with greener travel, smarter operation, optimized costs, and maximized profits in an all-round way.
Product Layout
In 2024, the 350 E12 buses purchased by Greece were put into operation in Athens and Thessaloniki.
The vehicle's range reaches 469 km, with an energy consumption of only 0.72 kWh/km. The complete vehicle has low noise, low failure rate, and comfortable riding experience. The intelligent driving assistance system equipped also improves operation safety. E12's high-quality performance with flexible turning and strong power has won the praise of customers.
Charging Pile Management
Based on data such as the number of operating vehicles and local grid capacity, Yutong provides a vehicle-networking operation management system to help customers efficiently manage the daily operation of vehicles. A single-pile charger with a power of 180 kW can serve multiple vehicles for off-peak charging at the same time, and the vehicle charging can be completed in 2-3 hours.
At the same time, fleet managers can remotely oversee the status of vehicles and charging piles (such as peak and off-peak periods, charging duration, power balance status, and charging pile load), and dynamically allocate the power of charging piles to reduce waiting time and quickly complete re-charging. Moreover, it can also be combined with the local peak and valley electricity prices to intelligently match the vehicle charging time-period and improve the economic efficiency of operation.
Intelligent Operation
The OASTH company in Thessaloniki has adopted the Yutong Link+ intelligent management system to replace traditional manual inspection and repair reporting, as well as fault diagnosis. This change allows the company to save at least 4,500 euros per year.
What makes the OASTH operating team most satisfied is that over the past year, the E12 uptime has far exceeded the average of other vehicles in the past.
After-sales Service
Today, in helping operators transform to green operations, Yutong's maintenance and repair model has changed from repairing vehicles only when problems occur to active prevention. With the help of Yutong's Link+ platform, fault early-warning and one button repair-reporting have become a reality. When a vehicle fails, the Yutong service team can arrive at the site in as fast as 30-40 minutes.
In Greece, Yutong has established a professional service team stationed on-site to solve vehicle problems. At OASTH, in addition to providing regular after-sales services, Yutong also regularly organizes driving skill training sessions on-site for bus drivers, helping customers enhance operational efficiency. Moreover, Yutong's efficient spare parts support system is 24-hour on-call to ensure timely supply. Yutong provides customers with a worry-free supply of genuine parts for 15 years, becoming a true "operating partner" for customers.
Yutong, with its mature new energy overall solution capabilities, provides key technical and operational support to major cities such as Athens and Thessaloniki. In the future, Yutong will continue to provide customers with more comprehensive new energy overall solutions, and create a more efficient, smarter, and lower-carbon new public transport ecosystem for Greece and the world!
