He explained that before, the company’s fleet operations were heavily dependent on driver feedback, which was often inconsistent due to varying levels of driver expertise and the timeliness of the data. The introduction of the Yutong IoV system has changed this, enabling real-time data monitoring and on-demand access through the system’s platform, which provides more reliable data for efficient fleet dispatching. Moreover, the system facilitates the analysis of drivers’ behaviors, helping them to refine their skills continuously.

Safety and efficiency are the top priorities for city buses, ensuring every trip is safe. The Yutong IoV system excels in managing fleet safety and monitoring charging. Thanks to intelligent tech, it keeps all vehicles synced with the platform in real time, with 24-hour uninterrupted operation monitoring. When there is a fault, the system flags it instantly and pinpoints its source. This solves the old hassle of manual troubleshooting and the guesswork that led to multiple repair service for elusive faults. Now, with automated fault detection and a simple click for repair orders, maintenance personnel can fix issues on the dot. Best of all, this tech ensures that the uptime of these 140 vehicles exceeds 95%.

Before Yutong IoV, a bus breakdown in peak hours could really mess up traffic and had a negative impact on passenger experience and OSY image. But now, with Yutong’s new energy buses on the road, there were almost no vehicle faults. The system even catches mistakes made by drivers and gives them a heads-up on how to fix things, keeping traffic moving smoothly. Plus, the Yutong IoV system can track buses, so if there’s a fault, the maintenance personnel can find the bus in no time and get it back on the road. Mr Agiasoglou noted that a breakdown used to mean a 1-2 hour wait for help. Now, Yutong’s on the scene in 30-40 minutes. That’s a huge leap in how quickly OSY can respond to any issues.

Charging safety is crucial for electric vehicles, and OSY and Yutong are on the case. The Yutong IoV system keeps a close watch on the charger at the vehicle interface, alerting admins right away if something goes wrong.  This heads-up prevents any charging-related headaches.

OSY also highlighted that the vehicle tracking has been a huge help in the company’s command center. The monitoring staff can instantly see where the buses are and how they’re doing, then give real-time advice to other drivers. This has replaced the old system of drivers passing information to each other, which was hit-or-miss. Now, they can dodge traffic jams and cut down on travel time, all thanks to centralized control.
