Operating in 206 cities, Yutong hybrid buses have won global market recognition through real-world operation
As global public transport accelerates its shift toward low-carbon and high-efficiency development, hybrid buses that balance energy efficiency and reliability have become a preferred option for transport operators. Leveraging proven hybrid technology and extensive global operational experience, Yutong hybrid buses have passed long-term operational verification in numerous countries and regions and gained recognition from customers worldwide.

As of 2026, Yutong hybrid buses have been delivered to 206 cities across the globe, covering markets including South America, Central and North America, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Asia, with cumulative sales reaching 33,000 units. A worldwide operational network for Yutong hybrid buses has taken shape.

Growing Market Recognition and Rising Sales
Yutong hybrid buses keep entering service across the world, with their energy efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness continuously validated under real-world operating conditions.

In Mexico, operators aim to cut fuel consumption and operational costs while meeting heavy-duty transport demands. Operational statistics show that as of March 2026, the fleet of 471 Yutong hybrid buses has travelled a combined distance of over 34.43 million kilometres, recording an average fuel consumption of 28.98 litres per 100 km. The models achieve a fuel saving of more than 35% compared with diesel buses operating under identical conditions. Their outstanding performance has won wide customer approval. Local operators commented: “The buses run quietly with spacious interiors, delivering a superior riding experience. Meanwhile, they are highly fuel-efficient, making the hybrid versions extremely cost-effective in overall operation.” Driven by proven operational results and positive customer feedback, bulk orders were secured in 2026 to further deepen bilateral cooperation — solid proof of market acknowledgement of the value of Yutong hybrid products.

In Uruguay, public transport fleets have long struggled with frequent start-stop cycles and excessive fuel usage. After Yutong hybrid buses were put into service, they achieved a fuel saving rate of 46.06%, substantially lowering operating expenses. Since the first batch of vehicles was delivered in 2019, Yutong has supplied a total of 178 hybrid buses thanks to consistent operational performance. The customer has placed repeat orders for consecutive years, and Yutong hybrid buses now form a key part of the local public transport fleet.
In Kazakhstan, Yutong hybrid buses have completed trial operations in five cities. Their stable performance has earned customer trust, and new procurement orders were secured again in 2026.

Verified Operation in Multiple Countries, Expanding Global Footprint
Furthermore, Yutong hybrid buses have undergone long-term operational validation across markets such as the Middle East. In Pakistan, the fleet has covered more than 3.46 million kilometres in total, maintaining an annual availability rate above 98% and delivering stable, dependable support for the local public transport system. In Kazakhstan, the vehicles have successfully endured frigid weather and special operating requirements including winter fuel heating, demonstrating strong environmental adaptability and consistent operational stability.

From high-temperature, high-intensity operations in Latin America and complex road conditions in Central Asia, Yutong hybrid buses not only meet the operational demands of diverse countries and regions but also continuously enhance operational efficiency and service quality. The growing operational scale, continuously expanding market coverage and customer repurchase are the best proof of the value of Yutong hybrid products in the global market.
